First - if you want to participate in the U2charist in some way but can't make this meeting, email the organizer. You can definitely still be involved even if you can't make this meeting!

So, here's the scoop:

We're basically going to put all our gifts & talents out on the table & see what kind of event we can build. It may end up being simple, or could be a blow-out extravaganza. I just want to do the best we can with what we have to work with.

Here's what the U2charist resources suggest that we should have to make this work. We're open to other creative expressions as well - have fun with this.
- Advocates for each of the Millenuem Development Goals to create an interactive station. There are 8 goals, and we'd like to have a different experiential station for each.
1. Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger
2. Achieve universal primary education
3. Promote gender equality and empower women
4. Reduce child mortality
5. Improve maternal health
6. Reduce AIDS, malaria, and other diseases
7. Increase environmental sustainability
8. Promote global development and trade

- Visual artists to create works that inspire, educate, or enhance the experience. (For example, paintings, or a multimedia video presentation to go along with a U2 song that's used in the event...)

- Musicians and vocalists, including, but not limited to:
1. Guitar (electric or acoustic)
2. Bass
3. Drums (any kind)
4. Keyboard
5. Lead/backup vocals
6. What else do you want to play? Harmonica? Autoharp? Mandolin? Bring it! :-)

- Readers and other participants

No pressure to do something out of your comfort zone. We can make this work with just a reader, some handouts, and U2 concert videos. But seriously, if you can or want to do something expressive, please do!
