Gina,
as I stated in the close of the letter
Assume nothing. Judge not anyone or anything.  Demonstrate Mercy by being merciful. Transcend Peace. Love one another.
Your Assumptions of my intentions are incorrect.  I forgive you. I'm not angry nor were the words written with spite , nor  to be rude.
Demonstrate Mercy by being merciful. Mercy :: Forgive,  Merciful :: Forgiveness.
Judge not anyone or anything. You have used scripture to pass judgment and to justify    your actions. You also stated: "He did not retaliate, he did not deal angrily with them,"

Matthew 22 :15 Then the Pharisees went out and laid plans to trap him in his words.

From Matthew 22:15 through Matthew 23:39 (where Jesus distinguishes the 'Law' vs 'Love' preparing to teach how Love frees us from the Law), Matthew records the seven woes from Jesus to those who command living by the 'Law' by the sixth woe he refers to the leaders as vipers and snakes:

33"You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell? 34Therefore I am sending you prophets and wise men and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town. 35And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. 36I tell you the truth, all this will come upon this generation.

37"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing. 38Look, your house is left to you desolate. 39For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.'[d]"

36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'[b] 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[c] 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Love the lord with all your Heart and with all your Soul and with all your MIND.

If we have not unconditional love we should cry out for it. For without it there will be no unity.  The kingdom of God is not in the brain, its in the heart and the hands. In our loving and our giving. The Kingdom of God is incorporated within all of us by the mere fact we are children of God. The significance of the cross and resurrection is not only for personal salvation but John 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him  When the resurrection occurred, the age of the Kingdom of God began. So the words of Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done were before the upcoming resurrection as Jesus/God knew was imminent. How does this apply to today...Thy Kingdom has come, Now let your Will be done on Earth as it is to be Heaven!? The Kingdom is not yet fully known because of the brain reason can not comprehend how this is going tohappen unless human intervene...Maybe if we all just let go and let God make it happen, Let God do it without us, Jesus just might return and heaven will be on earth. The World can not be saved by Human hands, as is exemplified by the current War. Humans cannot eliminate Evil. This is only in the Power of our Divine Creator who knows the plans He/She has for us, which no mind can conceive, no ear can hear, but is a plan with a future, not to harm us but foe our success.

See I Cor 13 if you need a refresher of what love is and what it is not. It thinks no evil and does not behave rudely. I find it helpful to read this passage replacing  "Love is..." with "I am...
I am patient, I am Kind. and replace "Love is not..." with I will not..." I will not be rude. I will not be Selfish. etc. I so this every morning in an attempt to be the Love I cannot be without God.

Transcend Peace. May you receive these words in the jester love and kindness they are written.

Love one another.
Laura

And love covers a multitude of sins. Would we not expect that those who do not understand the love of God would imprison and beat us. But what was Christ's response? Forgive them for they know not what they do. He did not retaliate, he did not deal angrily with them, he loved. And in loving, MANY are saved. Fellow believers, may we also love for the salvation of many. His kingdom will come and His will be done, all we are called to do is love.

I John 3:16 &18 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

James 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.

Let us use our words to build up all people and not to bring down. If we can't say something nice, it is best as James notes, that we would say nothing at all. All people are potential members of the body and so this scripture is for all people! Not that you should just be kind to fellow Christians. We are commanded to love God and others. All others. See I Cor 13 if you need a refresher of what love is and what it is not. It thinks no evil and does not behave rudely.

If we have not unconditional love we should cry out for it. For without it there will be no unity.  The kingdom of God is not in the brain, its in the heart and the hands. In our loving and our giving.
