Come and fellowship and share how things are going. Let's catch up and share what we are learning and what we need to pray about. Since some of you may be getting off from work, feel free to have dinner while we meet or just a drink or dessert.

Hi friends, Where did February go?! I realized yesterday that we were a little over a week away from the Meetup date I had in my calendar, and I hadn't put it on the website. Please forgive me. Eric, Andy and Gordon were able to attend the Organic Church Movements Conference down in Ontario, CA at the beginning of the month. Some of the speakers were Neil Cole, Alan and Deb Hirsch (Shaping of Things to Come), and Jason Evans and Matt Casper. They will be sharing with us the things God laid on their hearts during that time, and facilitating some discussion regarding some things that were discussed during the conference. We will be meeting for lunch at a pizza place, but if you aren't a pizza fan, don't worry. They have a salad bar and pasta. Those who want pizza can donate to the group total. Hope you can make it on short notice.

Hey Friends, We are picking back up after the Holidays. Hope you all were able to get some good time to rest. We will be continuing the conversation about Sowing the Soil, and spending some time in prayer for each other and for more laborers for the Harvest. This is a kid-friendly home, so kiddos are welcome. We will provide some breakfast goodies and juice. You might want to grab your own Starbucks. :-) If you have been to one of our meetups before, I think you will be pleased with some changes in format. If you have never been, this is a great time to jump in. We are praying for God to work a miracle here in the Puget Sound in 2008. Washington state has a huge population of people that God misses most. Let's partner together to see how God is working and to pray together as His people. By the way, please RSVP to let us know whether or not you can make it. This really helps us to know if we need to adjust in a particular area (i.e. time, etc.) Hope to see you on Saturday! Many blessings, Kim

Hi Friends, Last month's meeting was really encouraging, and we are looking forward to being with you all again. This month we will discuss Sowing the Seed of the Gospel. I will have more notebooks for those who didn't catch it last time, as we will be passing out some additional materials to help you in your growth as a leader. If you already have a notebook, please remember to bring it. Michael and Shannon are unable to host this month like they had hoped. Thank you, Briana, for hosting at the last minute! She is in the Ballard area. I will send out directions a couple of days before. As for dinner, we will be doing lasagna, and would appreciate if everyone could bring an item from the list. Suggested items to bring: *Garlic Bread *Salad (Green or other) *Veggie dish or tray *Dessert IMPORTANT--Please, please, please RSVP on this website, and list what item you will bring. Many tried to communicate through me, and although I love to talk with you all, it can cause doubling of items. Looking forward to being with you all again, and hoping to see a few new faces as well as those we haven't seen in awhile (we miss you!). Take care, Kim

Hi Friends, We are going to be meeting this month to discuss more about cultivating the soil. I will have more notebooks for those who didn't catch it last time, as we will be passing out some additional materials to help you in your growth as a leader. We will be discussing and using materials from CMA Resources regarding Organic Church Planting. We are going through the first section of materials on Cultivation. Lunch will be provided. Due to cost of materials, we are asking for $5 donation, but if this is a hardship, please come anyway. BY CAR I-5 North/South Bound: Take the West Seattle exit. Stay to the left if you are heading North on I-5; stay to the right if you are heading South on I-5. Follow the signs to Fauntleroy Way SW. Stay on Fauntleroy Way SW until you come to the Park on the right hand side of the street. You can also follow the signs for Vashon Ferry - the ferry terminal is south of the Park (you will come to the Park before you get to the ferry terminal.) Parking: Lot is located at the south end and additional lots along Fauntleroy SW as well as on-street parking. We will be meeting at a picnic shelter near the playground. Look for signs.

July will be our first Meetup to go through the materials of the Greenhouse. We will start by talking more about the Cultivation step of Organic Church Planting. CULTIVATING THE HEART OF THE LEADER: Change must always begin in the life of the person you greet each day in the mirror. Before we can facilitate authentic life change in others (our team, lost friends, new disciples, an emerging community, a city, etc.) we must allow God to do his work in us personally. The choice to do "organic church planting" is a choice to be a certain kind of person. That person must be filled with the Spirit, have an authentic walk with Christ, maintain a commitment to growth, and lead others in an empowering way. This session unpacks a model for being a leader in "organic churching" and will challenge you to look closely and deeply at your own life. And truly the most important part of what we will be doing is gathering together for fellowship and encouragement. Materials aside...who doesn't feel encouraged when surrounded by others on similar paths? You won't want to miss this.
